Keep in mind for next year that the "dead " areas that have been sprayed, may well be covered in ink weed next year, and that "good spot" with shortish pines will now be 5 foot taller. The birds will still be there but much harder to shoot.

Yep, familiar with the on going cycle of finding new county, it's the same down in manawatu
Our standing joke for the day when up there was " that area be good next year", as seemed to be a lot of young stuff that needed another year to develop good feed
