    They do fly, but generally not far. Reason for this is they look like Takahe which is flightless. So if you hit a flying one it is a pukey, but on the ground it is possible to be a Takahe....(As NZDA found out....)

    Ive seen Tekahe in Te Anau, totally different build of bird and manor of foraging for food, but I guess if you havent seen one and dont know what they look like, you could get confused with a pukeko because of the similar colour. Shame really if someone bowled over a takahe by mistake.
    GUN CONTROL IS A TIGHT 5-SHOT GROUP.

    That is all very nice...just a pity it does not tell how far up the arse the boot went on the shooters.
