Well everybody is built differently, body, eyes, left handed right handed.
Before I left NZ I new nothing about stock fitting. When I started shooting in the uk I did some reading and they all bang on over here about getting your stock fitted. So I thought hey why not! When in Rome
First had my shotgun that I had imported form NZ fitted. I went from being an ok shot, 50% on a clay ground to 75% according to my score cards and a vast improvement in my live game shooting. I’m also hunting less than in NZ where I’d be out most evenings on Dads farm to once a month here.
So judging by my experience id have all shotguns fitted professional. It’s a shame that I never new about this from the start of my hunting as I’d have been far more successful and would have enjoyed it a lot more.
This being a Christmas present for my Dad who has never had a gun fit hopefully he’ll go from his usual battling performance to a day where he can shoot his share with blaming the gun. I’m sure he’ll come up with other excuses
    csmiffy and rewa like this.
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.
