I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.

    Is that real?

Legislation around the shooting season made it illegal to shoot ducks that were tired or fatigued because of environmental factors such as drought.

"It's a little-known clause of the Gamebird and Waterfowl Act 1878 but it's one that carries significant prison time."

Has anyone else heard of the give ducks a chance thing?

Possibly not since the Acclimatisation Society days I'm suspecting and defenetly not since it was found there was no limit to what a duck shooter is willing to spend on killing a duck.... There is no such act as the Gamebird and Waterfowl Act 1878. Gamebird regulations fall under the Wildlife Act 1953.

And I guess it's reasonably hard to figure out which ducks are tired and which are not.
