    Special Parrie permit

Mate has got a permit from fish and game to remove a couple of hundred of the pests from his farm sunday morning . Best I go help out.

Because there is NO grass in canterbury thousands are pouring in to eat the sheeps barley.

cant blame the poor buggers then but fair enough then. you dont have to kill 200 tho if you find your efforts move them on.
but depending on where you are they might take a fair bit of persuading to bugger off.

Will find out final tally tomorrow. They did shoot all day and were around a 100 at lunchtime. A lot to be said for well grassed blinds.

A neighbour was telling me last night 200 parries were shot on a crop at Akitio and its burnt as a boy racers tyres out there. They pulled the plug 3 guns going and they ran out of ammo.

Can't the ranger issuing the permit make the conditions? We had one a few years ago to thin out pukekos from the local golf course. He wrote on it that we could use rifles and it lasted about three months

If i could have a full time job shooting pests i'm up for over time.

yep thanks to a certain fellow the permits cost 99 buks and they,re supposedly looked at a bit more circumspect and none past march.

thats probably thier permit limit and doesnt give them much scope to disturb any others that happen along .
its what i mean by ''you dont have to shoot the permit limit straight away.
