    Trapping pigeons

I'm going to make a trap to catch feral pigeons .( not native !) . I will then use them to train my dog . Has anyone trapped them before ? Any help or idears would be appreciated . Im pretty sure I've got a good spot to catch some .on a factory roof in woolston ch ch , but if someone knows of an easyer spot would be cool . ( roof is bloody high ) . Cheers Munsey

When I lived in Blenheim I got hold of the local pigeon racing club and explained what I was using the pigeons for (pointing practice). One of the members would give me 20 -30 pigeons once a week. I would use them for training and then let them all out to fly home.

The pigeon federation a quite understanding and thankful if you let them no if you accidentally shoot a racing pigeon.

Not that I target them But I do have the codes

I'm just going to weld up a light frame 800x500x400 mm with a one way door ,and bird netting . Probably bait it without the door set for a few days then rig the door .
