Hey guys, just looking at having a go at JetSki fishing. Just wondering how you guys have set up your skis and what fish finders you are using. Any other tips for making the whole experience safer and easier? Cheers

Yep.
Yamaha FXHO cruiser, Ultimate rod holder/chillybin setup, basic Lowrance fish finder, mount for Garmin Oregon gps on glovebox lid, PLB on life jacket. Mainly fished Firth of Thames using softbaits, but haven’t been out for about three years. JetSki didn’t get used at all last summer, gave it a run on the lake on Monday to make sure it still floats!
How to find them if you got caught out in a bit of rough water?
Nasty. Safe, but very wet. I pick my days.
Have you got any pictures of your setup man, just figuring out on where to mount my fish finder etc
No photos to hand. I'm just getting ready to go on a tramping trip, so will post something up when I get back. Re: fishfinder. The display unit is either going to go on the drink holders/dash up from somewhere, or on the glove box. They are the only realistic options. Transducer is either going to be internal/through hull or external on the transom. Have you got a ski already?
What MB said, safe but very wet. I usually end up zig-zagging to try to ride the chop if going with it, or avoid the worst of it if going against it. It's probably wetter for the missus on the back, as she doesn't see the water about to come over the front until I duck! Travelling with the chop it's quite easy to come over one wave and bury the nose and submarine through the one in front, and the curves of the ski direct the water directly at your face...so you duck and start laughing
Yeah already have a ski, just never thought about taking it out to sea for a fish
