    Baby Sharks and Seaweed

Those who have been fishing out at Kaiaua lately will know what I mean when i say. What is up with the baby sharks and the seaweed that tangles around ya line, baits and sinkers? it all seems to be keeping the fish away.

What breed of sharks are they ?
I have caught small ( baby ? ) sharks sometimes at Coromandel but don't know the species. Very good eating though.

Hammer heads and I believe Bronze Whalers. The ones I've caught are too small and skinny to eat so I throw them back.

Haha yep, du du doop du du...

I got a couple of the smallest spiny dog's I've seen over Xmas down on the east coast, 20cm long? Hungry little buggers though. I guess it's breeding season for mommy and daddy shark...
