Best make of inflatable RIB and 2 stroke motor

Looking at a 3.1 to 3.6 inflatable and a 10 to 15 HP 2 stroke. I like the sound of an aluminium bottom. What are the best brands and what sort of material should the boat be made from?

    Many thanks

Go for HYPALON material. More expensive but longevity of unit is greater. I must admit that some of the newer PVCs have improved, but the glueing vs welding seams seems to be the issue.

Yamaha has the best reputation and resale value generally but I dont think you would go far wrong with any of the big brand names like Yamaha Mercury Tohatsu Suzuki.

Do naiad still make them that size? The bladder and outer system that naiad and wavebreak use is the best inflatable system. Higher upfront costs but far cheaper to retube and far more robust.

Failing that hypalon, lancer and arancia have excellent reviews.

The little takacats are a good boat as well, although may be a different style to what you are looking for.

I just brought a Chinese made inflatable 3.6m boat. Aluminum floor that folds away so it will fit in the ute all packed up. Had 3 up and still went well. Not the best quality but then it was cheap to buy.

You may have seen my thread regarding my new RIB.... I am happy as with it and would recommend a Southern Pacific as I can't really fault it. Go the 3.4 and a 15HP Suzuki though I reckon. How do you want to transport it?

Yep been reading with interest. Thanks will make a frame for it to sit on my 7x4 trailer or deflate it for longer trips. Am putting an H frame on ute so may just use that. Cheers,
