Thread: Big Bronzies surfcasting part 2

Went down again to the local swimming beach tonight. Within 30mins we had 4 baits taken by big sharks.
First 2 dropped the baits after big runs on my mates gear. Then i hooked up on the 13.6kilo gear and had a battle for 30min before a big run busted me off.

While i was fighting my fish my mate had hooked up again on his 24kilo gear. 45 mins later had had it in the shallows.
Went out and tailed it, measured in at 2.92 m, just over 9 foot 6. We got the hook out and released it .
Was another great fish of the beach surfcasting. What it showed thou was the one i caught few nights ago was certainly over 10 feet and wider though the body.
Not bad on 13.6 kilo line on a shadow x surfcaster!!
