Took a mate and his son out for a fish today to the Maerewhenua river.
Mate is still suffering from a bad concussion that happend 2 months ago we usually fly fish but we desided it would be less of a strain on him and just spin fish but his son took this fly rod just as we left the car some know it all drove past my mate and told him it was fly fishing only, it was 2 seasons ago, But last season Fish and Game changed some rivers in the central south island area to fly and spin and this was one of them
My friend cant handle confrontation just now with his injury and get very confused very quickly so due to a bloody know it all that was the end to an afternoons quiet fishing

I used to always spin fish the marewhenua when I was a kid (olds live at livingstone, still do) got some pretty decent fish out of it at times, some good fishing between the pumphouse and camp.
