    LAKE ARGYLE TAG COMP UPDATE
We have had half of the 200 tagged fish returned so far, and one lucky angler has won a $500 fish! We have also given away lure packs and 3 fishing licences for next season. The good news is there is still a $500 fish swimming in the lake as well as plenty of other possible prize winning fish.

@Dundee The young fellas Lake Argyle prize was a lure pack. Sounds interesting, I will post a photo when it arrives.

Took the lads to the local Trout ponds this morning.

They seem pretty well stocked, we just fished the family pond.

Lost a couple while jumping but still didn't take long for us to get one each. All hatchery fish as had half the top fin cut off.

There has been rather a lot of "old" looking kids fishing the childrens ponds most nights and not a lot of actual children sadly.

Best rig for the main pond is ledger rig with bait. I have been trying in the river but as yet not seen a fish since the flood.

Yea I could see the piles of rock around the shore where people had been bait fishing. The family pond had a bit of color in it today and we had no trouble hooking them on spinners.

Stopped in and had a look at the kids ponds on the way out. Two girls fishing, water super clear and the fish didn't look the least bit interested. I told them to go and have a cast in the family pond
@Trout yep 2.5-3pd strong hits and tough little fight. Boys loved it
@Dundee Rotorua could do with a bit of possum trapping they are very thick on the ground up there. That's a bloody nice fish too
