About LinkBacksHāwea dam has very low flow at the moment so have been fishing the lake outlet. Just a couple lures to snags so put a nymph on a float and landed a little rainbow hen for breakfast.
The Upper Clutha and Hāwea trout have lovely orange flesh, there must be plenty of koura about to nibble on.
