    CD Graphcast 3

Have been given a CD Graphcast 3 rod blank and intending to build it up in to a rod. I know these were one of the top blanks for salmon rods a few years back, but cant find any info as to what the Graphcast 3 was actually used for. Was it a lighter surf rod, or an up river rod? Or was it a "lure rod" blank? Any help would be much appreciated.

My mate who used to sell them said " stiff as a board, suitable as short stiff surf rod".
