Cried a few tears for our mate

Had a hard day at work today Toby, thinking about you and your family and friends also our forum buddies.

I have lost a few mates and family to the big C.

Went down to the river for some quiet time to shedd a few tears on my own and to remember you.

I started off with a rapala and thought na fuck this put a "Toby" on.

If we all followed your footsteps brother the world would be a better place.

Seen some foot wear down there.

Lost a trout on a toby replica lure and checked my tackle box and have only two lures with toby engraved on them.Kilwell have renamed some turbo.

And landed my first trout for the season today. RIP Toby.

Yeah mate, rough day yesterday, still pretty raw. Shed a few tears thinking about the beanpole. The cheeky bugger would probably have shaken his head and called us all a bunch of soft cocks

    Hi @Dundee!
Thank you for share your moments and feelings, it is amazing and show how much you care for someone like @Toby.
I never meet Toby in person but, as many others in this forum we got caught by his posts and things.
What must say is, it is a great post you have done. if you have a look in the first photo of your post you will see a silhouette with some familiarity to Toby's descriptions in the "top side" the hill with a "Toby" semblance looking after you.

That God bless us all and look after those who somehow thought us some or many life lessons!

Jeez what amazing perception. That tree certainly does look like the silhouette of a man with a rifle across his back and a stick in his hand.

The tree has got strength and no more need for the stick. The resting is enough comfortable that no support is necessary anymore.

    Mac.

P.S.: I been part of an event called "Jump Start - The experience of been alive" where we skydive with cancer survivors from the Canteen organisation, i just wondering if Toby was not part of one of these jumps in the past. Can someone help me here?

    Cheers!
