Thread: D'urville island Winter Fishing

For the snaps up there in winter its all about the gigs 'slow gigs', lucanis, bottom ships etc. Last year @ the rewaka hunting and fishing comp (August) there was even a tuna weighed in that was caught on a jig at Durville. It defiantly wasn't an albacore, possibly a slender tuna or a juvenile blue fin

Good to know the bloody things do actually work in winter at least.....I only ever get Barry the snake or bloody cod on them
