Yeah I have the same question as Beaker, How many amp hrs was the battery? I have the 9000 beastmaster as well and was shocked to learn what the max current draw was. I know the 4000 model listed below is not the same as the OPs but I would expect similar current draw.


The Shimano electric reels draw the below amperages

Dendau Maru 4000 - 10 amp

Beast master 9000 - 35 amp

So for me that's less than 30min run time out of my 12 A/hr Lithium kontiki battery.

I know when you have a couple of good blue nose on in 220m, the reel fare grunts.
Happy to have it hooked to the house battery!
