Normal ledger rig works well. i normally use whole paddle crabs, small to med size, works very well. Either one bait or can use two
Big crabs chop in halve. otherwise prawns can work but i would catch 3 to 1 with crabs v prawns. Dont cast far, rig like to cruise the shallows and the breaking waves, .
I always fish 2 to 3 rods, might throw one out further but a average cast is all you need. Goes for the bigger sharks as well (ie sevsn gillers, tope and Bronzies)

Caught my first rig for the season last night. caught 3, one stoker than i thpought was a ray as took heaps of line.
Got a Greyboy and a eel thrown in too. was a good night
