Thread: Fishing areas near Marton

Hey all, Im going to be spending more time around Marton now-a-days as that is where my partner is from, and was just wanting some information on the rivers in the Rangitikei- Manawatu area for spin fishing.
Now to be clear I am not wanting your spot X but just some guidance to if any rivers or areas of rivers are better, what lures and colours work well etc.
Keen to get back into the spin fishing as it has been a while and am keen to try to teach my partner to fish as well. (might be a good test of the relo &#129315

Plenty of perch in the Marton reservoir. Fish and Game have also been stocking trout in there too. Good option when the rivers are blown out.
