Golden Bay snapper.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
The perfect dinner fish.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

The lure in the photo. Caught a few on it just dangling off the side of the ski while I was soft baiting. Might have a new dress on it now.

Everything was quicker about the ski. Getting it ready, getting it in the water, getting to the fishing spot and home, cleanup afterwards. That said, I do carry a lot more junk on the boat. What I don't miss is being caught out offshore in a decent chop. That was horrible in winter!
Rig on a jig on a soft bait set.

Bastard things ! I have completely given up on set lines in sounds 25 hooks can easily go 20+ of these >}^+##!!
My flounder next full of holes cause of them and a burely trail just becomes a spiky dog highway to your bait.
And i have had one of those things drive one of its spikes into my arm.
I just hate them
