Fishing trip

Hi guys, shot down to Coramandel town for a break on Friday with my caravan and stayed in the M C A camping ground. When I got there found the fridge was not working, bugger, luckily had the chilly bin so all was ok with a bag of ice to keep things cool. I booked a trip on the mussel barge for 4 o'clock to see if I could get a feed of Snapper, well I`ve never caught eight Snapper so fast and all good size, I think mussels had been harvested from the area as just floating your bait down with no sinker was guaranteed to get hit by a hungry Snapper, the bin was over flowing in no time. So had to put ice in the fridge for the food and grab a bag of salty ice to cover the bin of fish, so we shot home to get them into the freezer. Great trip if you want a feed of fish and only $65, well worth it.

Nice one, might have to give that a go next time I'm up there.

Folks live in the town, so hopefully get the old boy's boat out over the break and get a few feeds.
