Fisho's may get Salmon in the Buller

I think it is a great idea. Perfect river with good access and deep holes to wrench the buggers out of.

    Cool!
Be awesome if they were in Rotoiti and Rotoroa as well.
There seems to have been a marked decline in trout in Rotoroa and the durvil and Sabine rivers.
Should be a heap of salmon in Tasman bay and the Anatoki river now tho after the last flood wiped out the farm.

I have heard there is the odd stray salmon that gets up the Buller anyway? Plenty of rivers on the coast that see salmon caught, that never had an initial release. The Arawhata fishes bloody well at times.

Probably further than they do in Canada and Alaska without Grizzly's and Black Bear to chomp the fuck out of them

Would love for salmon to be released in the North Island I have never had an opportunity to try fresh salmon and would be a good change from catching trout all the time and would make fresh water fishing more interesting and would make me regain interest in picking up the trout rod again.
