    Followed Me Home

I drove 260 miles over the Sierras and down to Modesto CA the other day, and this followed me home. It's a used 22 1/2' Pro Line walk around with a 200 hp 2.5L oil injected Mercury and a 4-stroke Merc Pro-Kicker 9.9 with electric start, power tilt, and aftermarket electric throttle controller for trolling and kicking the engine up a bit to go a little faster or punch it to correct in wind gusts. I came with two Cannon Mag 10 HS downriggers and a Cannon hand crank one. It has decent electronics at the helm and a smaller finder by the port side downrigger. Nice thing for me and the wife is the full cockpit canvass/eisenglass enclosure. It gets down to below zero (F) where and when we do a lot of fishing.

I'm having a good friend and boat repair shop owner check it all out and put new lower unit oil and water pump impellers in. I blundered into this boat in my recent three months of searching and got it at 1/2 the current market going price. It's a 1999 Pro Line 221 Walk Around. The cuddy is small, but two can get in and lie down out of bad weather.

I feel like a kid at Christmas!

I might haul it over "The Hill" to the coast this spring and chase dungeness crabs and salmon, and some bottom fish.

We got it to use at a small older cheap house we recently bought at the southern tip of Lake Pend Orielle Idaho...Google Bayview Idaho. It takes me 6 minutes to walk out my door, get into the truck, and drive to where it's moored in a covered slip, get on the boat, and warm the big motor and kicker motor.

We worked like dogs since 1965 to get here, and it is now worth it. Just watch...I'll stroke out by this spring and leave it all to my stepson and Owen. LOL...

My old 20' Trophy walk around is there now and will come home to Nevada to fish 10-20 pound cutthroat trout at Pyramid Lake and nice 1-2 pound rainbows at Fernchman's over in California.
