Thread: Good start to the summer season

Weather has been pretty challenging for a spearo but still managed a few good dives over the break exploring some new spots.

Dived at rabbit, motiti, astro, the raus, and the highlight; white island. All new country for this ex aucklander

Knocked over a bunch of different species with a few tasty firsts for both me and the missus. Had a couple of heart break with a absolute brute of a trev and a pb king pulling off the spear.
Few species knocked over include;

Snapper, kingfish, kahawhai, trevelley, koheru, blue moki(first for the missus and club record), blue mao mao, pink mao mao (first for me and super tasty) john dory, tarakihi, butterfish, paua and crayfish.

Full bellies and freezers. Bloody lucky to have access to the variety and bounty that we do
