Not to hijack the thread mate but to warn of a boat stolen from Kaikoura early this week. Recovered in Chri today. A real nice boat. Worth plenty. All gear taken but boat recovered unharmed by report.
Heads up, be safe and keep boats safe, well and truly.

Couple of crays shot a few butters and some good paua.

Caught up with Munsey and friends was a great de-brief sat night good yarns and cold beers. Sunday young folk showed up grabbed me body wash and departed for places un known. I should have limited on crays on Saturday but it was amateur hour to the max missed two sitters and a handful more I would normally smash. Out of practice ! Still a few softies around but blue water in close and vis very good in
parts. Great weekend body buggered but mind refreshed and relaxed.

Will get Xmas out the way and get into it hard in the New Years. Txt from young folk heaps of smalls about not a great result for them but that's diving and hunting new spots.

Shame I didm't see this thread earlier, I sent down Thursday avo and came back Sunday.
Was awesome vis north of Ohau point, and my spot was mint. Smashed my paua limit in 2 breaths, even got a few yellowfoot.
Gutted I didn't take my speargun cos were heaps of butters around, especially on sunday when it was a bit rougher.
Bit gutted I didn't bother taking my catch bag either cos I got 2 nice crays but didn't fancy sticking them down the front of my wettie with the paua
