I was up there over christmas i believe it was but you do have to get your boat cleaned and certified. The place to do that is nowhereclose either, rotoiti had forms you had to fill out and put in your windscreen before you
Launch so maybe signs they will do same. Aside from that still great fishing at rotoiti.

They are not needed. It needs to be called out for what it is which is bullshit. There is no skiing or wake boarding permitted on the lake (unlike Rotoiti and tarawera where there is more of a risk from Waikato boats) so it is clearly political.

My boat has never been to the Waikato or any other freshwater location so why should I have to wash it every time I go there.

F&G need to ramp it up and ask questions of MPI and Todd Mclay about why there is a bio security notice still in place and why it’s treated differently than tarawera or rotoiti.
