Thread: Last weekend of Zee old rules

From what we got told apparently the rules change this week for catching snapper etc - (unless your a commercial ship, free to "rip the undies out" from the rest of the fishing world") ....
On the water by 6.20 this morning - and in similar fashion to our commercial "mates" set a small 25 hook long line, then rigged a stray line for some reel fun........ what a cool day on the water ..... 15 snapper - biggest 680mm smallest 350mm , 4 x kawahai, 1 x trev, 1 x gurnard & thats what we kept let alone what we sent packing






Yummm..... fresh fish for dinner for the next few days ..... Nice to have before heading bush next weekend eh

Surf casting was OK this weekend too,fish a little picky but worth the effort.
Wasn't sure when the rules change but thought it was April.
