Thread: Lower Matukituki Conditions - Wanaka

In Wanaka and the wind has dropped today so going to head out and throw a fly line this evening

Does anyone know what the lower Matukituki conditions are currently like? Can be a bit cloudy a lot of the time

I was up there 3 weeks ago and there was a slight fresh from snow in it.

There isn't much stable holding water up there and don't expect that it would fish well unless it was pretty clean.

yep, she was fairly milky. hit the Motutapu which had a good amount of water for a change but only saw one fish and spooked it with the line first cast. not ideal...
