    Try a 2 inch softbait with a 2.5g jig head, with 4 or 6 pound mono and a 2-10g 7 foot rod

You can fish blindly or sight fish with the same setup

I have done well through there spinning, 50-75mm softbaits or minnows. black and gold or brown trout colours go well.

Clarence from the Accommodation House to Jacks pass has some deep pools with cunning trout sitting on the bottom. Might fall for a soft bait, (or a huhu grub)

The Clarence is Fly and Spin only above the Acheron Confluence so using a Huhu grub above there (I.e., at Jacks Pass) could land you in hot water!
