    Mouse plague

It looks like the predicted big Beech mast was not too far off the mark from this report.

The beech mast prediction was a load of crap to justify the planned 1080 drops. Crooks in Doc supporting their mates in the poison industry/cartels. Well known fact that when you alter the ecosystem balance - shit happens. 1080 drops always cause a rodent plague 6-18 months post poison ops. But then i bet you already know that, aye 1080james??

Yep met one the other day, I asked what he did for a living and he sheepishly said he worked for DOC, pity he wasn't loud and proud. I thought everyone working for DOC was full of passion, obviously not. Good thing was he hated 1080.

Oddly in one of my favourite areas there has been no rat or mice explosion despite not being 1080d in the last few years, there is the same seemingly stable low population of pests and a fantastic bush morning bird song .

Please fuck off politely all of those who mistook this post for anything vaguely to do with 1080. Watch the video. Enjoy the fishing.

No video? My bad, post was from some time ago. There are a great number of videos produced this year with mouse fishing, I will have confused this one for another. Or its just a big con to hide stuff under.

No biggee, I read the article............ that is a major shift in the force.

I have always shunned rod and rifle magazine because it had trout fishing shit in it and piss all to do with rifles.

Over the last 3?4? years I have found myself more and more wanting to catch a trout "properly" no doubt not helped by mr dundees regular posting of trout caught and fillets ready to be cooked then marinated in watties.

seriously tho trout is on my radar, price for licence has been the put off for the last 30years but I am thinking I may have to spring for it, tho of course I would need a rod and reel and line and lures........................

I've tinkered with the idea of mouse fishing but it's never eventuated. I bet some of our Mohaka fish would be keen.

Not allowed any kind of bait here as far as I am aware, also no stocking so not sure what the license is paying for in this region?
