    Jig, by my experience it would `t need too heavy, 3-5g depends on the action of your rod.
    I use double uni or albright knots to connect fluorocarbon leader to main line which can be braid or mono. The line size I use thin line like 0.4 to 2 for braid, mono I use #3 - #5
