Thread: Opening Morning

Weather (wind) was against us as to the places and the style I wanted to fish. Had my Uncle from Whangarei come down for his yearly and well timed visit. Mad keen fisho, he used to take me fishing when I was young so it's always good to take him along, plus he always brings along great lunches. Any way on the water at 7am as I had work to do first thing for Maritime. Fished till 1300hrs and brought home 4 nice condition fish all around 2kgs, put back 3 intentionally and a couple not so. When I finished work that evening I checked the ramps and F/G were still measuring and weighing. At the main ramp the tally for the day was 186 fish for 134 Anglers, they thought it was a good result. This morning the lake looks like a mirror.
