Thread: Patea bar crossing.

I can't offer advice, but can recall trips out over that bar in the mid-1970's in a mates dads boat. He had a Haines Hunter V163 with a 80hp outboard, and the other chap who he used to go out with had a 15 foot Plylite Fisherman with a 50hp. Small setups compared to today's average boat. I recall time spent inside the bar circling until it looked ok-ish, and then going for it!!
