Wow Pet one wharf. Used to catch Spotties there 20 yrs ago Oops must be really old. Hutt Bridge used to be the spot for something else and bugger me I can't remember In a boat between Somes and the Motrway we always caught the odd fish and along the other side it was red cod alley. Makara lighthouse for blue cod watch the weather don't get caught out there in a southerly long trip home Fished the harbour hard out always got something to eat. Kasha I nearer to town.

    Cheers. Happy

Get yourself over to the old navy base mate and cast out on the point from the chocky fish café.
use: bearly, ballon's and fresh bait. fish rise to and hr after high tide ballons to keep your self out of the snags/rocks see how you go mate.

Small world, lot of good memories of the place moved to the Wairarapa when I was about 8 or 9. I remember the car wreckers down that way they were related some how, by the old playground and ice cream shop. But seriously that's where the Ati Awa came from on my dads side, got the history from the Alexander turnbull library, Petone was a neat beach in those days.

Talk to my Craig. It's part of his work responsibility and he knows all of the wharves and fishing spots pretty well.
