Definitely a good option. I have some Smiths. They're primarily for trout fishing. If I was to do it again I'd get a lighter shade as I sometimes don't get the penetration in overcast conditions.
I'm not sure if there's many other options but circular polarized lenses don't get the same penetration as linear lenses. My focus is only as fishing glasses though so will have quite different needs.
