    Pulley Rig Issues

I've purchased a few pre tied pulley rigs but I find the hooks don't stay attached to the plastic impact shield during casting, will even come apart if the rod gets a little bounce in it before casting. Can anyone recommend a better brand of impact shield to replace the crappy ones with? Was looking at the Gemini splash down clips https://www.burnsco.co.nz/fishing/fi...e/quick-connec

Gemini are as good as it gets. I just use their simple clips, but I'm not much of a surfcaster.

Put a hook on that thing and it would act like a popper on the retrieve.
