kiwijames, he sleeps with a radian beside his bed. Sage's are the rods for the South Island. I personally think that getting the right line can make a bigger difference than we realise too. Personally I prefer the Sage 'One' over the radians because I found the radians a little soft and floppy. The Ones will load and present a short cast and lift a roll cast and will also push a long flat cast or even side cast under the wind easily. I cant comment on the later Sages after the One the Method and then some other.
