Chocolate milk and a steak and cheese pie from the servo on the way to the boat ramp is my go-to.

The bombers do work for me, but make me very sleepy, so bit of a catch 22.
The pharm in Whitianga used to sell them, although not marketed as Pahia bombers, so it is not a brand name.

I went to work on a Barramundi boat years back, had never spent anymore than an afternoon out on the loughs backs home. First job was to walk along the booms and untie them, while going out in a bit of chop. Never got seasick and found I have great sea legs.

Months later, I came back to Cairns and went to the store for supplies, tried to walk down an aisle in Woolies and got fierce land sickness. The whole shop started to heave from one side to the other, the aisle were swaying and I crashed into an old ladies trolley. Nearly took her out.

I was like that for days and was only steadier when I was on the rums. I finally understood why Cpt. Sparrow gets around like he does though. Started calling it "being Sparrowed" after that.

Oh yeah, any closed space, I remember trying to take showers! Feel like a dog in the boot of car.

Speaking of, being in the car after months of only being in tinnies. Missus driving at 100km was absolutely terrifying (even more than usual) when you're not used to those speeds or someone else in control of the vehicle.

haha. Have you never seen a dog in the boot of a station wagon, they're all over the place.
I thought it was a common thing. Maybe that was just my dog then.

I find after a few weeks at sea (even on a decent sized ship), trying to have a shower ashore is a mind-bend swaying and rocking all over the place.
