    Silstar TF-15 reel issue

So I better get my reel going properly if I'm going fishing soon.
My wife bought me a eclipse rod with a silstar tf15 on it.
It has the star drag set up. Some how I may have played around with it (as you do to see how it works). And now I can't get much drag.
There is also a small stainless knob that may do something I this department....

This is my first overhead reel.

That stainless knob is for the spool tension, shouldn't affect drag, you don't perhaps have it in free spool?

Shouldn't be anything else if the star is not tightening the drag, maybe something has gone wrong?

So have I stuffed up by playing with the spool tension? Or I just tighten it up

Would I be correct in thinking that I should have the spool tension set before adjusting the drag?
The free spool lever is on the opposite side is that correct?

They shouldn't affect each other, ideally put it in free spool and the tighten the spool tension so there is no play left/right in the spool but not so much that it doesn't spin freely.

The drag should only come in once you engage the gears with the free spool lever, you should then be able to tighten up the drag.

Sorry, no the free spool lever is on the top that engages and disengages the gears, the ratchet is on the left, all it does is go click click if you leave it in the rod holder so you can hear if you get a strike!

    Thanks @Spudattack
I'm pretty sure I understand what your saying. I will have a play with it tomorrow hopefully while it's fresh.
