    Spot X revisited

    Few hours spent surf casting in the small hours today

    On ice while I catch up on some sleep

    Where to start ?

    Not a bad result fishing off the beach though

    A few feeds out a this lot ,deep fried snapper for dinner today .

    Do you cook them skin on?
    I only scale things going to be cooked skin on.

    Yes VC always cooked skin on improves the flavor I think.
    Deep fried tonight ,battered skin on.The guys at the local fish shop did a great job.
    Left overs for lunch tomorrow .
    Gun control means using both hands

    I was given 1 of those double blade scaling tools from H&F does a bloody good job now days & so fast well worth the $10.
    Works great on trout too VC .
    Yes Gibo we eat the skin, seems to keep the fish a bit moist too not a bad thing.

    Fresh hoki is twice the fish skin on as is flounder. tho you don't have to scale them

    Trout are pretty safe from me Chris, I keep telling myself I will go and catch one properly some time soon but never do...... maybe something to do with the cost of a licence.

    Those .308 cal; lures work great in mountain streams VC .
