Thread: Surfcasting in the Kaipara

Nice! I've camped on that island out from the Hoteo river, 'Moturemu' I think it's called or simply Rat island. We just cast off the island into the channel, have caught some monsters there. Was good fun. (By camped I mean slept in a sleeping bag on top of a pallet we found and some other drift wood. luckily the weather was on our side)

I've also done plenty of fishing on the Kaipara and all the way over in Kawau bay, both those places have supreme fishing.
