    Take the kids to the groynes

    There was 250 salmon released into the fishing lakes the other day for the kids to catch. So if you are looking for something to do with the young ones it’s a great time to go down. Still not the easiest to catch but there’s a good chance. Boy managed to get one yesterday so get out if you can.

    saw the fish n game tanker trailer go past field I was sowing last week..... must be that time of year again,resupply the wee places with small stuff.

    They must have done a couple of drops, we got a few about a fortnight ago. Great fun for the kids, my girls (13YO twins and 10YO) are hooked!

    I was thinking of taking the kids down this weekend. How do you know if there has just been a restock or is there always a chance of getting one?

    There hasn’t been a release for a long time unfortunately, normally the fish and game news letters have when they are releasing fish.

    I took the kids to Roto Kohatu instead and they had a blast
