Unfortunately i think the back end of this year will see many businesses close up

Everyone running massive sales trying to get people in the doors and the cost to replace stock is for ever increasing
plus wages and increased interest rates is just going to be too much for many to get through.

Rent going up, rate going up, wages going up, 10 days sick leave, extra public holiday, so on and so on
something gotta break soon or later.

Unfortunately, this is bad news for us fisho, fishing just got more expensive.

The only reason fishing is expensive is if you think you need the best gear available like me

Was up at the Pakuranga shopping centre the other day, first time in about 5 years. Holy heck what a shock. Half the shops were empty, and the rest had no foot traffic.
The change is amazing, it's really hard to describe how bad it was. If there was not a supermarket as part of the complex it would already be closed, I think.

Hey guys, so have they literally closed the doors or are going into receivership but still operating till they find a buyer and/or sell down their stock?

Top Catch Hamilton has rebranded and is back under the original owners control. 'Viper Wholesale' I think is the new name.

Coro is gone, not sure about the other stores.

NZ economy dying a death of a thousand cuts thanks to the wombles in beehive. It's very shameful.

Nonsense. Look at the Waikare "bridge" on the Napier/Wairoa road . It clearly has been erected by kindy kids. Months later and a pitiful example for a bridge. Typical garbage we have to live with.
