Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
Yip , weather dependant like most fishing
All still available , snaps, kings , etc ..go deep at the top end of Durville from next month onwards.
We do have regular fishing for carrots and blue cod ..better eating and less travel required...then if you like a fat as oily kaiwhai then local channels produce some horses mid winter.
Rig come in the spring , and if you ask the right bloke flounder the size of dinner plates.
accomadation is as southern hospitality , ask in advance and bring a beer!
Nil durum volenti !!
If you are seriously hunting snapper and kings then Stephens passage and associated area is your targeted area for winter fishing, it requires good weather and a reasonable size boat. Some knowledge of the area would increase the chances of success, then like fishing is you can hit it on a good day and be very successful , or hit on a off day and be right place wrong day. I've suffered and enjoyed both!
Nil durum volenti !!
