I've run big boats, 42' Salthouse charter launch etc etc. I don't think I would go for that type again, nice but you have to use them to get the money's worth and they are a bloody expensive thing to house and feed and the inoculations and health screening to keep them running...
I'm looking idly for something in the 7-8m range, as it is probably better at keeping the kids in the boat (kid ears and lack of listening etc etc) as well as with a miniature female kid that has a serious girly streak it would make life a lot easier with something big enough to have a toilet onboard. 7-8m is still trailerable, can store it at home probably under cover depending on height so minimal weathering once it is under shelter. Trailer maintenance is not really a problem at this end, happy to do that but it's an utter pain in the arse hauling out a launch or alternatively having to dive under the bloody thing every other week to make sure everything is still attached!
