Ok I have to know ! set ,scoop ,sock , and if you want to show us a photo of past catches that would .. Well wet our appetite!

Bloke on the Buller said to soak you new white net in a bucket of tea... Improves the catch rate he reckoned.

@stingray, it is a set net, and I made some side wings with fine mesh to go with the net; I find the scoop nets too awkward to handle..do not have any fotos...I think the soaking in tea would be a good idea...subdue the white of the net...

Put the net in the river and it doesn't stay white for long.

Young folk who I borrowed for the day loved it ... B&E pie and hot soup ... Booked in again for next month.... Even got a pad where we can have the hound... Love coal fires love the west coast.

True that. Always from away and they act like they own the place.
I have never had an issue with a local.

    Whitebaiting...

You just wait till a Rotorua prick parks in your driveway and then proceeds to knock on your door

Sisters mate is hooking me up at "her spot" on the Waimak soon... Can't bloody wait I'd be happy to sit with soup and just watch... the waitbaiting that is, not just her...

Bugger. I have only got a week that I can fish for the rest of the season as I am away with other stuff. Hope the weather is up to it.
