    Not into whitebaiting as such but really should do it one day.
    Got a mate who does it down south westland. The Black I think.
    Go down for a week, help out and maybe shoot a deer

    This weekend should be prime in the lower north island, rivers are still well up but finally settling down after the big fresh

    Yeah always good after a bit of rain, the mouth of the river here is still a bit rough but can bait the surf 2 hours before and after low tide.

    Wow theres a lot of water, looks a bit dirty too. Can you spot them or just fishing blind?

    Very slow start here on the Waikato River. Picked up half a kg on opening that was clean but old, it had been in the river a few days. Nothing at all since and no reported catches anywhere. River has been very dirty with all the rain but is clearing up nicely now, should see some fish soon.
