    Winter surf casting

Went down the cost for a surf fish last night, balmy evening with a glassy flat ocean.
Left home at 5pm after a early dinner & back in wagon for return trip at 9.45pm

Couple of nice pan snapper for couple or 3 hours fishing ,apologize for pic quality taken with flash
on beach & was very dark .

Were they caught at Whiritoa Chris? Although come to think of it that is up the coast from you.

Nothing like fresh fish that's for sure. I sold my boat now I am thinking of getting one of those super expensive torpedo things. Or maybe just a bag.

Well done Chris,PT and I gave your lures a swim last night but the river was still high and we didn't want any snags as the visability was a bit dull to search for what had come down in the last flood.

Got them off the ocean beach at Bowentown Rushy.
They didn't get much of my bait Gibo , full of paddle crab legs thats just normal surf fishing.
Seem to do OK on them , dinner was lovely tonight .
