Looks at bank account......... Fuck, shit, goddamn no money to get a plane ticket for a return flight to go fishing in Nelson :P
Definitely would like to see a report on that.
I think I would be fishing from sunset till sun up just catching and releasing for the hell of it.
Used to be the same at the lake mouth at Lake Ferry, when it was open, when I was a young guy
I remember the multiple boilups in the gulf in my youth . . . till the trawlers figured out to use spotter planes
On the drive out for a spearfish went round rocks road, it was shoulder to shoulder but the bait schools had moved on.
Got out to the boulder bank vis not as good as I hoped, water was very warm but fish life absent or I couldn't see them. A high light was about 50 dolphins right in close ended up swimming with em, well they swam past me stopped for a look and carried on their way.. was ausum!!
The problem Gibo is I can remember what I did at thirty, but can't remember if I had a shit this morning, took my tabs or had breakfast! You have a lot to look forward to.
Haha good stuff u still coming on this trip at the end of the month

I went out last night and saw the pod of dolphin.
Caught one cod had the long line out and got 24 spikey dogs out of 25 hooks.:D:thumbdown:
Just off the bank in about 12m
Too close in but pushed for time.
25 fish for 25 hooks is dynamite still, the only time iv done that is 25 friken starfish
And it's on again Blood and his mate went down befor work caught and released over a dozen, got smoked by something larger... using trout gear best fun he's ever had.
Sounds like its going absolutely nuts and the bait (smelt is hard up against the wall) so thick people can catch it by hand!!! Tasman bay is full of plankton free dived at the Glenn on sunday and it was like a soup from the surface to 10ft.
He is.
