Thread: 17p stockcar

Hay guys as some of you know i race stockcars,

Thought i would start a thread and can keep it updated with the big meetings etc


We just got back from the North Island champs in rotorua.
Here is a recap

North island champs, what an awesome couple of days racing.

Qualified 2nd in group on sunday night, got tge car dialed in during practice and it was awesome to drive.

Finals went great, made heaps of positions in the 1st race to drive from 18th through to 6th.
2nd race started 4th and finished 2nd behind rob 34p

This left me top on point heading into the final.

Right from the start it was game on with Damian Orr standing on the brakes then Kane Hargreaves pushing me to the infield. Got back on track and was stuck on his bumper and in trying to spin hom ended up stuck on the wall.

After getting hit the lights came on and i was taken off.

Fantastic couple of nights racing thank you to Rotorua speedway and everyone else.

This one was from the GP in Napier a few weeks back

Nice.

That showed him alright

Although I would have been shouting for the Bay drivers.

Not too fussed on the Super stocks, Saloons or Kiwi lites, but love the Standard Stocks, Streeties, TQ's, Solos and Sidecars.

Was it TQ's that some guys used to run converted OMC V4 outboard engines in? Are they still used or have the standard engines caught up in terms of the power to weight?

Love speedway and was bought up around it, haven't really been to many speedway meetings since the original baypark shutdown, had a lot of good memories at that place with the circuit track as well as the stock cars if there was any form of motor racing on we were there. used to really love the blood baths that broke out with the stocks.

Got 2 nights racing that!! Was rapped to see my best mate take it out!! 513R !!!! NI Champ!

Was at Meeanee Speedway last night for the finals of the NI Streetstock Champs.

Seems Regan O'Brian got tired of driving round the track during a Super Stock race so Murray Long obliged and gave him a higgy back ride.


That's what we like to see Murray if you can't go round them and they won't get out of the way then just go through them

Took the towies a few minutes to work out how the hell they were going to sort this out.
